What are Teeth Aligners?

Teeth aligners are an alternative to traditional orthodontic braces used to straighten teeth. Removable and easy to use, these invisible smile retainers apply pressure to the teeth and slowly move them into the correct position. Thanks to their functionality and transparent look, many people today use these clear braces to achieve their desired result of a beautiful, straight smile.

There are different methods for straightening teeth, all of which differ in cost, treatment process and length. One of the most popular types of invisible teeth straightening aligners is Invisalign

  • What is Invisalign?

Invisalign aligners are custom-made, invisible like retainers that many people use to straighten their teeth. Each set of Invisalign aligners are custom made specifically for your requirements, so that they use the exact amount of force required for proper treatment. By following a custom treatment plan created by your doctor, Invisalign clear braces will move your teeth into position step by step after each appointment, resulting in a beautiful and straight smile at the end of treatment.

  • Why are Invisalign Aligners Better Than Braces?

Invisalign is designed with comfort, convenience and appearance in mind. They are essentially invisible aligner alternatives to traditional orthodontic treatment methods such as the unpopular brackets and wires that come with traditional metal braces.

  • The smooth design and custom fit of Invisalign teeth straightening braces ensures comfort and more control over the straightening process. Unlike traditional braces that are fixed, Invisalign aligners are easy to remove, allowing you to brush and floss your teeth without any problems and helping you to maintain proper oral hygiene.

  • This also means that you can eat and drink whatever you want and take part in sport activities as normal. They also require less frequent visits to the dentist for adjustments, just every 4 to 6 weeks, meaning it’s easier to see treatment results and you can spend less time worrying about your next trip to the dentist.

Invisalign Aligners

What Does Invisalign Look Like?

Invisalign aligners are thin, clear, removable teeth straighteners that are made out of a flexible plastic – a patented thermoplastic material named SmartTrack® that was designed specifically for Invisalign treatment. They are MHRA approved, do not contain latex, gluten, bisphenol A (BPA) or bisphenol S (BPS). No brackets, no wires and best of all – none of the restrictions that are common with traditional metal braces.

Invisalign Treatment Process

  • 1. First, you’ll come for a free consultation with our Invisalign dentist.

  • 2. After your consultation, a detailed treatment plan will be provided.

  • 3. Custom-made aligners will then be created specifically for your teeth.

  • 4. You will then need to attend regular appointments in order to change the aligners until the desired result is achieved.

Invisalign Treatment Options:

Invisalign i7 logo

Invisalign I7 is used for small adjustments to teeth. Popular with people who have worn braces and are experiencing teeth repositioning.

Invisalign Lite logo

Invisalign Lite is ideal for less complex cases. Invisalign lite has a much shorter treatment duration, but this does not affect the end result.

Invisalign Full logo

Invisalign Full is designed to deal with complex cases and takes the longest time to complete, but allows for a more controlled process and results.

  • How Long is Invisalign Treatment?

  • On average, Invisalign treatment takes around 12 to 18 months to complete and you will need to wear the Invisalign clear braces for about 20 to 22 hours a day.

Upon each visit to our Invisalign dentist, you will receive a new set of adjusted aligners that will continue to gradually push your teeth into the right place to give you the beautiful, straight smile you desire.

IT IS SAFE TO VISIT US!

Updated: 21st of January

Dear patients,

Everyone of us has had to give up something due to the Covid-19 global pandemic. Even such little things such as getting a haircut, lifting weights at the gym and other beauty and self-care activities are currently unavailable understandably. However, this is not the case for medical appointments.

According to the latest government guidelines, medical appointments – including visits to dental practices - are one of the few reasons you can leave your house, so we are encouraging everyone in need of dental treatment to book an appointment with us and not let your dental health suffer.

HOW IT WORKS?

• Upon booking an appointment with us, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from our team.
• You can then use this e-mail confirmation of your appointment as proof of why you are outside, if needed.

HOW IS IT SAFE?

• Our staff are equipped with additional PPE gear, to ensure as safe treatment procedures as possible.
• We have longer gaps between appointments to thoroughly clean and disinfect surgeries.
• We do a Covid-19 screening of each visiting patient before their appointment.
• Our waiting area is closed to ensure social distancing measures.
• Patients are asked to come only a few minutes prior to their appointment.
• We only let patients in the clinic as the appointment is about to begin.

We look forward to welcoming you to our clinics,
Stay safe and healthy.
