The name speaks for itself. With the help of advancements in dental technology, our dental expert team can now provide patients with new teeth on the same day as implant placement, hence the name – Teeth in a Day.
The process allows our dentists to reduce the number of implants needed to restore an entire jaw of teeth and it requires less time to heal than other dental implant-based treatment methods.
The procedure is used mainly to restore a full arch of teeth using 4 implants on each arch (All-on-4) and has become a very common dental procedure to restore missing or damaged teeth. It is important to remember that annual check-ups are necessary to clean the teeth and maintain their durability.
During the procedure, 4 dental implants are placed within the jawbone – 2 that are parallel and the remaining 2 in a 30 to 45-degree angle at the back of the jaw. A metal dental bridge is then placed on the 4 dental implants to secure proper stability of the denture that is then provided. This procedure can also be provided for dental cases that require 6 dental implants to be placed.
The treatment can be done in one day, providing you with a new set of teeth after just one appointment. Since the procedure works with the patient’s existing jawbone, no additional bone grafting or sinus lifting procedures are needed. Additionally, the cost is less than standard dental implant treatment and requires less healing time.
Temporary teeth are placed to provide bite functionality while dental implants are integrating properly. This gives the implants time to integrate securely to provide the necessary support for permanent teeth. After the surgery, your gums will experience changes as well requiring time to heal.
Yes, decades of research, scientific studies and advancements in dental technology have proven that this method of teeth restoration is safe. Once the procedure is done, a set of temporary teeth will be provided to allow proper integration of the dental implants before permanent teeth can be placed.
To determine whether or not you are suitable for Teeth in a Day treatment, it is important that you come for a consultation at our clinics. Our dental experts will assess your dental situation and will determine whether or not you have the proper amount of jawbone to provide the treatment successfully.
